Problems with PVC water pipes

Inferior plumbing fittings have a high probability of leaking:

These fittings often leak, as is the case in this photo where leaking has caused damage to the bathroom vanity unit. Some fittings are likely to fail because of high water pressure and not being suitable for mains pressure.

PVC pipes & rodents:

PVC water pipes in roofs of buildings are often damaged by rodents, this can cause extensive damage to a building and/or its contents.

Case study:

A newly built multi level house in the Bulimba suburb of Brisbane the owners went on a 3 month overseas trip and came back to their home that was water damaged at all levels. Caused by vermin damage to a PVC water pipe within the roof area.

PVC water pipe problems. Recommended rectification, if problems occur:

Replace PVC water pipes with copper, if they become damaged by rodents or leaking occurs from their fittings.
